Skinny Shutter?

[DVX100Shooter]

While listening to the Director's Commentary on the new "Stomp The Yard" dvd the DOP mentioned that they used a "Skinny Shutter Speed" for the opening dance sequence that looked good I might add! What is meant by a skinny shutter speed? I have never heard that before.

I have never heard it either, but I can assume (never have seen the movie) that he means a higher shutter angle (faster shutter) as to the camera it might appear "skinnier."

This is just a guess.

Good guess. I think bennishahn nailed that one or at least we share the same interpretation. Very interesting terminology I might add....

I might tell my next 1st AC to change my shutter speed to a fatty. lol
