The degree to which the Pro version is worthwhile is dictated by the amount of use you expect to get, from the additional features that it offers over the free version.
We used the Advanced Camera Tools plugin fairly heavily on 'Star Trek.' It's a very useful previsualization utility and let us rapidly illustrate options for the director and DP (and the Construction Coordinator, who appreciated the quantity of building we were able to save him).
All of the on-hand imagery generated with ACT that I have, is Paramount's property and not to be posted on the web. But I expect that if you check out some of the sketchup user groups and forums you should be able to find some good examples of it in use.
