Skater dolly clearence question...

Quick question. I am going to be building a skater dolly this week. I realize it is used pretty much just on flat surfaces. That being said, how much clearence do you really need from the bottom of the dolly to the floor? I want mind to be as low as possible, but not risk any situation where it might be so low that it causes problems.

Please advise.

There is no risk because you can use it ONLY on completely flat surfaces. Most of the skaters have a clearance between 7-15mm but it’s up to you how deep you want to go.

Not if you cover the board, or table with self adhesive felt! I suppose the fact my camera is a DSR-250, makes a difference as it is quite heavy. I used skate board wheels not skate wheels, and they contact the board over a larger area.

NOISE???

You have to use softer (Inline Skater) wheels - I have NO NOISE with my skater!

i was thinking of getting inline skate wheeels for it as well, cause right now, i have 16 skareboard wheels on angle iron attached to a large plywood board. Because of the size of the skateboard wheels, i have had to use 2" PVC piping. I would like to use the thinner stuff and im guessing by getting rollerblading wheels ( rubbery ones ) it will allow me to use thinner piping and wil be much quieter.
