the wide axle is locked for now. i tried adjusting it to crab, but all the different radii (radiuses?) seemed to make the wheels drag in the corners. it doesnt have as small a turning radius as the mini skater. but it'll do a 3 foot circle.
i guess i started out thinking it should be a 3 wheeler. after trying the narrow truck, i found it worked just fine. (narrow truck is from roller skates, wide is from 10" skateboard)

The wheels are very close together and you use a large setup. Is it stable?

good question. i think i'm pushing the limit for camera weight. it is very steady howevr the smaller the turn radius, the more prone to tipping it is. i can improve this by shortening the wheelbase or increasing the rear axle length. (maybe for version 2)
I'm shooting a commercial next tuesday with this for some food shots. i'll post footage soon. thanks
