Simplest mini dolly ever?

Hey Smallinov - great to see someone else trying this out - and cool cats!
There seems to be a bit of jitter in your vimeo clip - is that some sort of frame rate conversion going on when you upload it? Does it look smoother in the original footage?

Yeah I think part of it was the encoding compression and some of it was that I was panning a little too fast in a couple of clips for a smooth 24fps pan. I have been able to achieve much nicer shots now that I've practiced with it for a bit......Currently I am working on being able to attach it to the legs of my tripod.

My gut feeling is that you would need something bigger and heavier to give enough stability for a tripod. You are using a DSLR, so it won't be so top heavy as a full sized camcorder. Show us what you come up with!
