simple technique help (pausing video for a while)

hi, probably simple question, i want to my timeline moving and my audio track moving , but for one portion i want my video track to pause for a few seconds then continue while music stays? i just found out how to do slo-mo but it wont stop completely. Thanks in advance

With the velocity envelopes, right click the points. You can manually enter in a velocity.

Set markers on key points beforehand to figure out where your "time" has gone.

You can also make a still of the frame you want to freeze -- best to use PNG -- and drop it into the timeline. You can make it as long as you want, and I find it's easier than trying to use the velocity envelope for it.

I have to second David's suggestion. I have used the same technique and it seems to work the easiest for me as well...especially when I want to resume the action at some point.
