Simple Question Re: DVD Pro from Novice Dvder

Burnt a disc and it plays excellently on the ol' Sony 35" tube but when I play it on the 20" Imac it seems to have a bit of a pulse to it. Now the regular viewer may not notice it but I do. Kinda of a steady pulsing darkening in and out. Is this normal or do I have something set wrong. The DVD was made from a 2 pass 23.98 Mpeg2 that was compressed in Compressor. And once again it looks excellent on the television but it has that sort of pulse I described above when played back on my Imac.

Is this 29.97 or 24fps DVD? Interlaced or progressive?
How do other DVD's play on these 2 systems?

Interlaced will probably look better on Sony than on your iMac.
