I Got Frusterated with all of these hosting sites that are Litterd with Ad's, Slow upload/Download speeds and wait times. So i built this!

No Ads
No Wait times
No BS

Well, I have 200GB right now, And about 2.5 TB of BW - I can Increase it if gets popular, i really dont want to put ads on it, so if i need to increase my hosting plan, I will need donations. But im not close to that yet, So no need to beg!

You might want to set an individual file size limit at least aye?
I don't know. 200 gig. That is a lot, but damn, I bet some dvxer's couldtear through that.
May I ask who you hosting plan is through?

You got me Thinking, 1GB per file sounds ok. I have it Setup so before i max out my Plan, It will start throttling down so i dont have crazy overages.

I Dont think ahead to well, so in a month we will see if my experiement worked or not.

Maybe you could give each upload a time limit. 30 days or something. And maybe you could shrink the gig down. A gig is awesome, but people will be more likely to do multiple uploads, as opposed to one or two huge ones.
I think 500 is a good sweet spot. Its a lot of space. You start getting much beyond that, and people are going to be uploading crap that would take forever to download anyways. Start with 500ish maybe, would be my opinion.

Well, Im not quite sure how to set somthing like that up, but i will Prune Old files if this lasts long enough. I think 1GB is fine for now, Like i said, Dont be Evil and i wont be Evil :-D

Dude. I think it is a great idea, and am glad you are just offering it out like you are.
If it was like 3 weeks ago, I would have needed it, but I just got my own hosting space, so I am ok now.
I bet it would be a great thing to offer in conjunction with the drama fest though. A good secondary place where folks could upload there flicks when the time comes, to spread the load away from Jarred's servers as much as possible. I know it's gotta be rough for him come fest time.

I wouldn't worry about it until closer to end-time, when it's time for everyone to start uploading and such. Otherwise, it'll probably just get buried. But definitely, I think that it would be a great idea, and I am sure Jarred would probably be appreciative of it as well. I know a couple of folks (Mikko being the one I can think of at the moment) offered up their space for the horrorfest, so...

Hey, speaking of css. I am building my first website, and have absolutely no idea about css. I did just buy a book on dreamweaver mx, which is what I am using, but maybe I can hit you up on some advice sometime in the future, if you don't mind. I am putting further building of the site on hold at the moment, until i actually learn something first, and trying to do something with the whole drama fest thing, but if you don't mind....

Im the Worst at it, im trying to do a simple expanding backround, and i have been at it for like 3 hours now, and still havnt gotten anywhere, Thank god i have friends that are smarter than me.
