Simple Cinematography Logo

Hey guys, I made a really simple, yet clean logo for myself.

If you look closely, you'll see a little squiggly line in the background.. (just making sure you don't miss it :) )

You guys have any suggestions on how to make it more visually appealing?

Haha! Well sorry you had to look so closely, lol, but I wanted to make it a subtle background that was not too noticeable.

What are you trying to do with your logo? If you're trying to show that you know how to use after effects, I wouldn't push it. If you're trying to show that you have have a unique sense of style... why would use something that looks like it came out of cookie cutter (excuse my frankness and cheap metaphors). The 2nd logo implies you know how shoot on 35mm...

I liked your original logo - sleek, stylish, and unobtrusive. Grant it, I'd take out the worm. It shows a dominate use of the frame and would be cheap to print b/c it's black and white.
 
Agreed. I prefer the first over the second. I kind of like the flickering look of the projector, but it doesn't seem any more or less powerful (or marketable) than the first. In my opinion, best to keep it simple.
