silicone packs shooting in humid and hot climates

I'll be working near the equator soon, and i need to find some silica or silicone packets to prevent the moisture buildup. But where o where do i find these things??

You definitely want silica and not silicone--unless you want...nevermind. :

Be sure you dry out the silica cartridges in an oven on low heat every so often, because they absorb moisture quickly and need recharging to work.

I keep these things around everywhere (weird I know). My whole family thinks I collect them, so when they get some in a box of shoes, or consumer electronics, they give me the silica packs, I've never bought any.

If you can find someone that does large electronic equip installs, they frequently have bags of silica gel packed inside. I got several 3-4 pounders from a guy who installs CT and MRI scanners. They usually just toss them out.
