Hi everyone

I have built myself a wooden PC case, that is practically silent. Pretty peaceful to work at I can tell you!!

A picture is worth a thousand words, but even better is a video, so...

Let me know your thoughts!

Man, nice built! Reminds me of my early editing days, building dual PIIIs for Premiere ;)
I´ve long ago joined the mac universe, simply because I actually HATE computers and Macs IMHO are less bitchy than PCs.
Still not loving them either ;o)

I'll have to use you as a narrator someday....brilliant case. Personally I like water-cooling simply because since I discovered it 7 years ago, I still haven't gotten my hands on it.

I'd be up for that. I do quite a bit of narration. ;)

Water cooling is something I'd really like to try in the future.. key word there is 'future' though, haha.

CPU never goes above 60c (at 4.4GHz), and is currently idling at 20c whilst I type this. Pretty darn good!

It's not vented anywhere, but is like a standard PC case in that the air is taken in, and then blown out again. The cupboard in which it resides gets fresh air because it's not an enclosed cupboard; the air can move through the panel because it's made of fabric.

This is pretty cool. I hope you don't bump it too much for the sake of those hard drives. I'd suggest throwing one of those hard drive racks you can replace like this: http://www.ebay.com/itm/CD-ROM-Bay-...3?pt=US_Drive_Bay_Caddies&hash=item3a753ec3ab
I love the remote idea, my PC sits in a weird position with my mac covering it so I can't quite put in disk, I'm definitely going to look into that.

Vertical airflow idea is pretty cool, a lot of modern PCs are missing that, and the big space under them bringing in the cool air.

All it needs is some fancy red lights in there!

Brilliant work. I was most impressed by yourself to be honest, you'd make a great documentary/lifestyle tv presenter hah.
