Silent Screenplays

My friend and I are planning to work on a silent film together. We have a pretty good concept and outline, but we're getting stuck when it comes to writing the screenplay. I did a quick google for examples of silent film screenplays, and couldn't find anything very good.

Anyone have advice, or examples, for writing for silent films?

Uh? Other than not having dialog, what would a 'silent' screenplay be?

Just write with no dialog.

Even 'sounds' need not be heared. What they may do is generate a shot of the 'sound' generating event or object.

As for 'back in the olden days'... I think 'scripts' were more like short stories, as well as some amount of impromptu, or ad lib, activities, and the current script has evolved during the 'sound era'...

I just recently wrote a 2 page script for a silent film I'd like to shoot when I have the money.

It might feel weird not typing in dialog at first, but you'll get used to it being all paragraphs with action descriptions.
