Sigma USB Dock useful, esp for 18-35 f/1.8?

So it looks like the Sigma USB Dock lets you update the firmware on your Sigma glass, and adjust focus settings:

I poked around the Sigma website, but didn't discover how often (or how recently) Sigma has updated the firmware for the 18-35 or their other lenses, and what sort of focus changes you can make to this lens (the tutorials show changes with a telephoto zoom). So I ask you all:

Is the USB Dock a useful tool for the 18-35 lens? If you used or have used it, what changes did you make?

Thanks!

I have it because I have a 150-600 Sigma sports lens (canon mount) with adapter for the Sony FS7 it is of no use at all for me.

I got the dock bundled with the 18-35mm. I have only ever used the lens manual focus on Red Scarlet. My Dock sits unused.

I've used the doc to update firmware for 50mm Art, which straightened out some autofocus issues on my 5D. Only been one firmware update I've used. Not used it with the 18 35 as I don't own that lens. Out of curiosity, I just attached the lens and looked at the Sigma Optimization app and it appears possible to make fine autofocus adjustments. I assume it's related to calibrating autofocus if/when it drifts, but my understanding could be imprecise. I just set profiles for specific lenses in the camera body on the 5D. According to manual, on zooms one can fine tune autofocus at 4 different 'zones' - distances. Also seems possible to put the lens in 'manual only' mode as well as to increase and decrease the amount of rotation required for focus.
Just in case, for reference: https://www.sigma-global.com/common/download/lenses/brochures-manuals/data/SOP_help_EN.pdf
