Sigma Lenses

Browsing through various lenses today and came across some Sigmas. I mostly see people mentioning Nikon and Canon lenses around here, but anyone have any experience with Sigmas? They seem to be very affordable compared to other brands, so I'm wondering if anyone has any experience with them and found them to be decent or sub-par or what? Thanks.

I have a sigma 20mm F1.8 on m2e
it's works great on F1.8
a bit wider on D90
and i have a tamron adaptall 28/2.5, also work fine

I have the 105 2.8 macro its very sharp but my 55mm 2.8 Macro Nikorr kicks its ass, the nikkor/canon glass is way better but there are some ok sigma lenses

I have one sigma, a 20-40mm f2.8. It has it's high points, it has it's low.

GOOD:
- Very affordable for a bright, wide zoom.
- Works great on my Nikon DSLR.
- Sharp Picture.
- Well bult.

BAD:
- The backfocus is a bit off. When I focus to infinity it actually focuses a little PAST infinity to where everything's out of focus a tad.
- If shooting with the iris wide open (f2.8) stills of subjects in harsh sunlight, I can sometimes see chromatic aberrations on the edges of highlights. It's NOT bad to enough to ever notice on video via 35mm adapter use, but it is in stills if you look up close. Though normally I'd try to avoid shooting in those conditions anyway.
