another great movie by Alexander Payne.
Must see for all DVX users!

I went to go see it at Union Square Stadium 14 in NYC last night.
I took my jacket off and put it next to my seat because it was warm in the theater.
A man in his late 30's or early 40's, looks like an old overweight metalhead, comes in to the theater in the middle of the movie and sits next to my jacket, then he leaves about 20 minute later. I thought it was strange and checked my jacket to see if my wallet was still there and it was there. After the movie was over, I went outside and checked the inside of my wallet under light and guess what, all my cash was gone!!!
He left the wallet in the jacket, but took all my money(64 dollars plus 900 dollars for rent from my roommate).
that sucked big time.

yeah I was pretty pissed off, not so much at him, but mostly at myself.
well, what can I do. That was a good lesson for me. Life goes on.
I like my avatar too, but I am sure I am going to be tired of it by next week....  ;D

and I still highly recommend Sideways.

sorry to hear :( the only thing that sucks more then a overweight metalhead is a overweight metalhead theif :( honestly though it sounds like a premetitated robbery he probally strikes that theater over and over, you should ask a manager if they had tape of the theater at that time, get this guy caught!

I feel you brotha, I just lost $200 in cash today at Carls Jr. I dropped it and somone picked it up and left. Bastard! The employe told me. You want me to put a Traid hit on that guy. I got connections. I'm kidding, maybe if he tried to hurt you then I probably would. :) Don't worry though because he's going striaght to hell. I too like your avatar. Kind of turns me on.

I'm definately gonna catch Sideways when I get back to the city, just not in that theatre.

Jeesh, that sucks. Btw - You didn't happen to flash all that money in your wallet when you paid for your movie ticket? For example, opening your wallet up exposed so someone standing nearby would see a big hit waiting to happen? This is one way pickpockets find a mark. Also, when getting money out of an ATM. Always keep these actions concealed.

Oh, and make sure to report this incident to the police. They might be able to bust the guy if a frequents the theatres. You probably won't get your money back but at least you might stop him from screwing someone else.
