Is it possiible to talk about this film here, since it touches on a political subject, or can an exception be made since it's a documentary? Saw it last night and was incredibly moved and depressed.
Michael Moore is a taboo subject -- it's almost impossible to discuss his films without getting into the politics, and if you're leading off with "incrediibly moved and depressed," then it's not hard to see where the discussion will go. (Not accusing you of anything; it's just the nature of the beast.)
Even without discussing the subject matter of the film itself, Moore is a VERY polarizing figure in his own right, and it's caused nothing but problems in the past. And, nothing new could be said about Moore himself. It's been covered.
So I guess that's a no...It's a shame because I think it's his best and least polarizing film. I found the horror stories of the individual people moving and depressing...All I'll say is I was never more glad that I married a Canadian.
