shuttle pro help please

i have a shuttle pro 2 and i know how to assign buttons, but i am having a hell of a time getting the jog/shuttle to work propperly. the way i see it, when you have the shuttle turned all the way to the right, that should be the same as typing the keyboard shortcut "l" for fast forward 3 times to get the fastest shuttle forward. it isn't working. anyone use the shuttle pro on a regular basis that can help me out with this?

I use the shuttle for editing in FCP and it works fine ... did you check the settings for FCP? Did you make sure it is in FCP "edit" mode?
