I need two lavaliers and can get a good deal on two wired headset mics. The head supports are broken but the mics work. I'd have to buy them sight unseen (sound unheard?). I've looked at them online and it looks like I could easily remove the modules to use them without the "headband" as lavaliers with a clip.
$25 Shure SM10A-CN Cardioid Dynamic ($120 new)
$50 AKG C420 condenser ($200 new)
Anybody have opinions as to whether these would provide good enough quality to use for a documentary? These will be used outdoors exclusively.
Is it easy enough to adapt a windjammer if there is nothing made specifically for these models?
