Shure FP32 w/ DVX100B

Hi all,

I was loaned a Shure FP32 mixer (yes I know about the hiss) but I have been playing with the configuration all afternoon w/ my DVXB and have found that the best sound is when I input mic and output to the DVX as mic. Is that supposed to be? I kept trying to input to the camera from line but it sounded like dookie. Any help setting this up would be appreciated. I am also using a ME66, the Senn G2 wireless and probably some rental hard-wired lavs although not all at the same time. I will be doing interviews and one set will be two people together with me asking questions which is why I need a mixer. Should I just rent a better one? I did get it to sound all right on tape and in FCP - hot but all right. Mixers are my weak spot so if anyone has a configuration to make this work well, I appreciate it in advance. Thanks!

If you are talking the fp32 and not the fp32a I would suggest renting another mixer. The 32(not a) is just horrific by todays standards, not too good by standards 20 years ago either.

Good Luck
