I'm starting this thread to thank Jesus Centeno who is a service manager at Shure Inc. Last year I bought a FP 42 off ebay for around 400 bucks. When I tried it out, it was noisy and the volume controls had static. I called Shure to findout how much they'd charge to fix it. I was told since the unit was out of production, it was no longer supported. I then spent the next 3 months looking for someone to fix my unit in vain. Finally I emailed Shure asking where I could send it for repair. I received an answer from Jesus, who told me to send it to them and they'd take a look at it. (No promises as they might not have had the parts.) I did as Jesus said but due to a miscommunication the unit was returned to me without being checked. I contacted Jesus and he exchanged my FP42 for his which came to me in the box and appears to have never been used! I COULDN'T BE HAPPIER! We often complain about lousy service and crummy support but here's a guy that just got a customer for life(as long as I can deal with him anyway). I have a FP33 I was considering getting rid of but now I think I'll keep it. If you need your Shure product repaired, send it to Jesus.
