I own a small video company (primarily web design, some video work)
Anyway, I have a client that does some pretty cool types of jobs that I think would make a great reality series. I plan on pitching the idea to the company and start doing our own show and feature it on their website to get rolling. I have a name and concept already.
I think this would be a great show for Discovery etc, but how would I go about it?
Besides getting in touch with the networks, what steps would I take to keep the show idea mine and get paid for it?
What's involved with trying to do this? If it does get picked up by a network, they would of course send their production team to shoot, edit etc, as I have nowhere near the resources of a full blown production house like Pilgrim Films etc.
Any insight would be great.
