Shoulder support, anyone use this?

The DvRigPro HD. Note the camera plate mounted under the rig for quick tripod switch and the included monitor shoe mount.

I think I'm going to get the cavision stuff. I have a spider brace but I have used with with an HVX, Vocas mattebox and rails, and I felt like the thing was gonna snap in half.

I have a cavision and I use it with a hvx-200+M2+chrozsiel matte/ff+panasonic BT-LH80W monitor. It is extremely front heavy and I add boa bags (small sandbag) in the rear to counter the weight. It is very painful to shoot especially because the handles are so close to each other. They cannot be adjusted making the camera very unbalanced (top heavy) in quick pans.

I give it a 4 out of a 10. If you are on a budget its OK, but it's not something I look forward to doing and try to avoid handheld if I can.

I will probably get rid of the cavision and get a matte box handles to hold, just like in a real 35MM camera.

Cheers,
Emre

The Zacuto stuff is by far the best and a 10 out of 10 but costs about $2,000.00 for a typical setup.

The DVRig Pro is decent and about 1/4 of the cost.

Cavision? I have their rod mounts, I am not blown away by the quality, but it's good for the money, I guess.

Best,

Dan
