Shoulder Rig Advice

So I'm thinking of getting the Shape baseplate with rods for my FS700. I used to have a MovCam Fs700 rig but while I liked aspects of it, I found not ideal for my purposes.

I'm curious of people's advice because I haven't found an article on this, but has anyone attached a quick release between the camera and the shoulder rig? I'd like to be able to pop the camera off the rig and straight onto a tripod/monopod or handheld (without rig). This is for portability, run/gun and discrete purposes.

I have been toying with rigs for some time. I really like my Zacuto Recoil a lot. With the newish Kessler Kwik Clamp and Zacuto camera QR you can use Arca-Swiss camera plates for faster on and off from the tripod. The Recoil has a shoulder pad under the baseplate that uses the same clamp design that is on the tripod so you pop the shoulder pad off and pop it on the tripod. Check it out and see if you can incorporate some of these pieces into your rig.
