Shoulder Mount

Hey Tom. thanks I have found a foam that works pretty well, but a custom shoulder pad might be even better. Where did you buy your Closed-Cell Foam Rubber?

i have made a great set up. mounts a gyro on the bottom balanced on the back with a battery.varizoom control on the handle. pics on my site. jetaddiction.com

Hey Siniarch,

Cool rig!

Say, did that clamp come with the Noga arm or is that another one of your finds. I've been looking for something just like that...

Richard- Thanks for the idea. I just don't know if the memory foam will be right for this. I have a pillo made of it and it compresses alot. maybe it would be best just to line whatever I get with it.

Jetaddiction - I went to your site, but was not able to see your set up that clearly. and what do you mean by gyro? maybe you could post some larger pictures on this site. thanks.

Take_1 - that's a Cardellini clamp. got it at http://www.filmtools.com/minorskinmin.html
I believe Mathews has a Mathellini clamp that is the same. I got the one with 3/8" and its the "Mini", not the "Skinni Mini". I also bought the Noga arm with the 3/8" adapter on it since I knew I was going to need the strength.

Siniarch,
I'll need a shoulder mount soon and though I don't want to spend too much, I don't like the cheaper options that are out there. I want something that looks professional and yours looks great aside from the knee pad :)
Do you think you can build me a "beta" version of yours and later on when you figure out if you'll do something to change the shoulder pad I can upgrade it? PM me with estimated price and current status on the build if you are not ready to advertise it yet.
Then hopefully the cash you make will also be an incentive for you to develop it a bit further :)

I am always looking for newly developed products when the people building them seem to know what they are doing. Just ask Richard, I bugged the crap out of him trying to get him to build what I needed, but I was asking a bit much there, lol It's cool to see the "product developers" working here in DVXuser... Cause you guys who actively get involved with the users are 95% of the time the ones with the best stuff!
