should i reshoot this?

I would re-shoot.... but not because of crossing the line (which is a rule that can be broken)

I would re-shoot because of the framing and the coverage.... and it needs to be re-edited

remember... cinema is a VISUAL medium (a projection of motion and images) .... its not theather... your film looks like theater, it has that classic student film/regid vibe to it... like you are really worried about things like "crossing the line" and traditional coverage/editing.... all the back and forth OTS/CU/talking head stuff ..... it just gets a little stale IMO...

use photography books and art/design books for inspiration.... think metaphorically and poetically.... cinema is like jazz.... sometimes its the space between the notes that say the most

ok enough babbling... good luck and keep shootin!

I totally agree, Hoofnandmouf! Visual poetry!!!

And I could show you scenes from my film that are very abstract, very poetic, but i decided to save those for the full release. The scenes i posted were deliberately shot straight forward in order to counterbalance some of the more experimental sequences

That being said. I have decided to re-shoot the scene as soon as the weather here in New York warms up. Probably around April.

It's too important of a scene to be executed half-assed.
