Should I give my film this look in post?

Not sure if this is the right forum for this, but a short film I shot, I hope to enter into festivals. The only problem is, about 20-30% of the shots came out blurry. Not really blurry, but different degrees of blur. I can add sharpness to them to help, but a lot of festivals take it real seriously when all the shots do not look the same, I have been told by others who are much more familiar. So in order to make all my footage look the same, should I the same amount of sharpness to the whole movie, or should I just stick to adding it to the blurry shots only, even though they will look different? The same thing goes for curves too, some shots are overexposed than others in the same scene, I will need to use curves to bring it down. This of course will also make the picture look different in those shots. Thanks.

Post some sample grabs and lets see what people can do with them... Example of one of your soft focus and sharp focus shots as well as one of your overexposed and correct exposure shots.

Today's chalenge? ....... can you save this shot.

As someone who spends a lot of time trying to fix things for my clients in post, I'll give you a good rule of thumb: You can't fix it in post if it's not done right to begin with.

Concentrate first on your story. If that doesn't work, then it's not really worth fixing, anyway.

Can you reshoot? There's no way to properly restore what isn't there.

If you are going to try using a filter, try a premium sharpness filter like the Sapphire plugins. You can get really specific with your sharpness settings so that it looks as close to an in focus shot as possible.
