Hi guys,
I use Adobe Premiere (CS6) in combination with Panasonic GH3 files with no problems on my current setup. I just import the clips directly and I'm good to go. Smooth playback.
Only the rendering times could be better.
I'm willing to make a small investment in my computer so what would give me the most improvements in peformance:
- A 64 GB SSD? (and install Windows 7 / Premiere on that disk)
- An extra 1TB HDD and only use that disk for video files?
At the moment I only use 1 HDD and 1 external HDD for backup. This is probably not really 'safe' and also draining performance. However, my CPU is often at 90%-100% when doing rendering or exporting so it seems that it is not getting 'bottlenecked'. My RAM is never used more than about 60-70%.
What do you guys think?
Current system:
i5 2500K
8GB RAM (1333 mhz)
1 TB 7200 RPM
Nvidia GTX 660
Windows 7
Thanks!
