Just wondering if it is necessary to advertise when finding video gigs- I am currently posting on Craigslist but I am looking to expand and get more jobs, so I was wondering if it is even worth it to pay for like "adsense" ect....
You can post in a production book. Here in Texas the Texas Film Commision produces a yearly production book it cost something like $35 to list yourself the only requirement is that you have previous jobs to list in your resume. For example: 2006 NBA finals, NBC. Check around and ask about production books in your area. Many times when production companies are coming to the area they check these books for crew. I get a good bit of work off of it. Hope this helps.
