Should be simple enough

Shot footage with a locked off 10' crane of a kid standing still with a bunch of people walking around him. Figuring if I captured about 3min I could speed this up and have just the kid and everything around him moving extremely fast for about a 5sec. shot in project. Well even at 2000% I'm not getting the look of blur I was hoping for any suggetions? Preferably in AE.

Layer - Time - Enable time Remapping

Drag last keyframe to 5 sec.

Effect - cc Force Motion Blur

Adjust the shutter angle, the higher the blurrier (?)

You need to have shot it with a very slow shutter to get the motion blur you are hoping for. You will need to fake it in post. Motion blur won't just appear in a shot if you play with the speed in post though. You need a more complex plug in like Re:Vision Re:Flex. It will actually remove or add motion blur using frame by frame image analysis.

It sounds like you want to try the HVX 2fps hack. Search the forum, the scene file for it is here somewhere.

Or you might want to try a digital SLR at a with a 1-7 second increment and as long an exposure as you can (and small iris)
