Shotgun or Lapel for Indoor and Outdoor

Hey guys,

Im in doubt about witch one is better for use in both external and internal takes to record the voice of one person about 2 meters ( 6.5 feet ) away from the camera. Im able to use the shotgun with a boom. The enviroment that Ill shot will change from quiet places to noisy ones.

What do you recommend for use in both situations?

I recommend using your ears in both situations, and picking whichever mic does the best job.
 
The problem is that I have to buy it first, and I will buy just one. I think that Ill get AG-MC100G.
