shot something 29.97fps but premiere has no preset for this? How do i get it in?

was trying to load a project into premiere cs4 that is 29.97fps --I shot it in 720PN-29.97fps from hpx170. I open premiere but it only has presets to start a project in either 24p -50i-60i- in 720P ??? Am I missing something? Do I load it in as something else and do something or what..??

any help would be appreciated.
 
You mean 720p at 29.97? Then the AVCHD 720p30 preset is the one you want - this is actually the 29.97 frame rate. 3rd down in the AVCHD 720p menu
 
hey paulears isnt AVCHD for the HMC150? I didn't think I would use that format for HPX170 footage. I recorded it in 720pN (for P2 card space) 29.97 fps. DVCPROHD. I thought DVCPROHD was/is different than the HMC's format of AVCHD. so when I select a preset for creating a new project under dvcprohd it only shows for 24--50- & 60.

and Pietro, I was just reading about custom presets, I think that might be the way to go.. gonna check now.
 
Yes, use the DVCPROHD 720/24p preset as a starting place, and then click the "General" tab. Change the Timebase dropdown from "23.976 frames/second" to "29.97 frames/second". Save the preset, if you want to create a 30pN sequence later, and you'll be in business.
