This fall I plan on filming deer hunts. I'm going to be filming in the outdoors 80% of the time in all types of weather conditions. What type of shot gun mike would you recommend to a beginner who doesn't want to break the bank?

Don't know how fragile your bank is, but Rode has a new gun out, the NTG-3, that is similar to the Sennheiser 416 in its resistance to adverse weather conditions. Rode is in the $700 range, Senn in the $1100. Moisture can kill many 'guns pretty quick but those two are pretty resistant.
