Shot 1080i24p - oops - Question for Cinema Tools

So I accidently shot 1080i24p instead of 24pa on the HVX-200. From other threads I understand the FCP and Cinema Tools can remove the 2:3 pulldown.

My question is - Do I need to do this before I start editing if I want to finish in 24p (Ie for a final master on HDCAm 23.98)

or

can I edit/color correct in a 1080 60i timeline and then just use Cinema Tools for the final non/low compression output.

Thanks in advance.

You really need to do this before you start editing.

Your clips represent 30fps in the old timeline and you cannot just copy those clips and take them into a 24fps timeline. There IS a way to make a 23.98 EDL out of a 29.97 edl... but it doesn't work very well.

Because your cadence will be all over the place when editing you won't be able to get an honest cadence removal from CT after you edit it.

Your best bet is to remove the cadence before you do anything else... or just stay in 29.97.
