Short shot on GH3 has to be converted to DCP(2k) for festival... Possible?

I want to submit a short film we have done with the Panasonic GH3 (1080p / 50mbps .mov) to a big (short) film festival in my country.

The accepted formats are:

- 35mm
- DCP (2k) - Non encrypted
- HD-CAM
- Digibeta

I assume the only real possibility is to go for DCP. As you can already guess, I have no experience with this format. Is it even possible to do it? And what about the 2k resolution? Do I need to upscale the image?

Thanks a lot!

For DCP you would put your 1920x1080 video on a timeline that is 1998x1080 and have a few tiny black bars. DCP only has a few allowed resolutions and frame rates. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Digital_Cinema_Package
Contact the festival and see if they'll accept Blu-Ray as an exhibition format. That's easy and cheap to create at home. If they really need one of the above formats you can get a short converted for a fairly good price. Just look around, for example: http://www.sv2dcp.com/
I created a DCP for my feature film myself, and it took a bit of a pain. And it had to be tested on an actual theater projector system.
