short mics in long blimps

Hi guys,

I am currently shopping for a long blimp for my AKG CK98. I really wanted the Rode blimp but it is not long enough for me. So I am looking at the Rycote S-Series Kit 450.

I plan to expand my kit and might buy the NTG-3 or a used 416. Would I be able to use this long blimp with these mics?

Yes, the mic holders are adjustable. With S-series you can buy separate blimp modules to make the blimp shorter without a need to buy the whole thing.

Maybe Matt and Guy can convince Rode to offer an expansion module for the blimp - but that of course won´t help you right now:beer:
