EXT. RESIDENTIAL STREET. EVENING
Jack, a young man in his mid 20’s, is driving down a typical Michigan suburban street in a silver toyota camry. He is searching for something. He passes 5 houses and finally finds the house that he is looking for. He comes to a stop in front of the driveway. There is a red honda parked in the driveway. Jack seems to be familiar with this red honda but examines it anyways.
INT. CAR. EVENING
Jack drives past the driveway and continues up the street until he reaches the front of the home. He turns his car off, leans over toward the passenger window and looks towards the upstairs window of the home. In the window he sees a man & a woman holding each other behind the blinds. Jack watches suspiciously until they disappear into the room. The look on his face is utter disbelief.
FADE OUT
INT. JACK’S HOME/KITCHEN. NIGHT
Jack is seated at the kitchen table of his home. He is fidgety and checks his watch repeatedly as he circles around the kitchen impatiently. Suddenly a headlight flashes into the kitchen window. He peers out the window and it is the red honda from the driveway now pulling up into his driveway. He puts a fist up to his mouth and bites the knuckle of his index finger before charging at the door. He opens it violently and speed walks to the driver side door. In complete frustration he reaches for the door handle and tries to pull it open twice. The female driver opens the door and Jack begins to yell at Megan asking her where she has been and accuses her of cheating on him. He is very near her face and grabs her arm. Megan pushes him away and heads into the house ignoring his accusations. He follows her back inside yelling. She makes her way through the kitchen and storms up the stairs trying to reach the master bedroom before he does. She goes to slam the door but Jack arrives just in time to catch the door before it closes. Jack’s wrath heightens in the bedroom but Megan stands there cold and distant. Jack continues to accuse Megan begging her for a response. She is silent and rolls her eyes. She has a sense of arrogance to her and appears untouchable. She has reached her limit and explodes yelling back at Jack. She slaps him and pushes him out of the bedroom. She slams the door shut.

INT. ATTIC. NIGHT
We see rain coming down against a glass window. We follow a raindrop trickle diagonally from the top left end of the window to the bottom right. We slowly pull away from the window and we circle the surrounding area & reveal an attic. There are boxes everywhere filled with old clothes, kitchen utensils, & books. There is an old desk on the opposite end of the room away from the window. On the desk is a bottle of whiskey, an ashtray with a lit cigarette, a bag of cocaine, and a piece of paper along with other loose accessories. Jack is seated at the desk, he does a line of cocaine, tilts his head back and inhales deeply. There are about 3 other lines of cocaine placed just beyond the line he snorted. He begins to write a letter. He is livid, he is alone, and mentally unstable.
INT. BATHROOM. MIRROR
The young man is coked out and overly pale. He stares into the mirror as he starts shaking. He is in absolute disgust and going through an extreme amount of pain emotionally. He screams and falls down to his knees.
FADE OUT
EXT. OLD BARN HOUSE/RURAL MICHIGAN. MORNING
The house is shown from the exterior. It is very quiet and nothing can be heard besides the birds chirping. We resort back to the interior of the house.
INT. KITCHEN. MORNING
Megan’s alarm clock goes off and displays ‘7:00 AM,’ the sound is loud and annoying and continues for 5 seconds before she reaches her hand over to stop the alarm. She sits up in her bed, rubs her eyes and stretches her arms outward. She gets out of bed and walks out of her bedroom. Megan goes down to the kitchen to make her morning tea. We exit the scene as she places a red teapot on the stovetop.
INT. BEDROOM. MORNING
Jack is seated on the bed with a gun in his hand. We inch closer and closer to him. Right before we reach his face he pulls the gun up to the side of his head; he is about to pull the trigger. Just as he does this we hear the pot steaming loudly from the kitchen.
INT. KITCHEN. MORNING/ EXT. HOUSE. MORNING
The teapot whistles as Megan takes the tea off of the stovetop and pours a cup of tea. She begins to sip it while walking to the kitchen table, she sits and begins to read the newspaper.
FLASHBACK/MONTAGE:
Jack is writing a letter in the attic. We pan the dialogue of the letter while going back to the kitchen where Megan is drinking her tea and then back to Jack writing the letter.
The letter reads:
“I’m so sorry for what I did. I really wish this was just a nightmare but it's not”
“My soul is gone and so is my purpose here. If I can’t be with you then I cannot exist. My heart is rotten and my being has decayed. I cannot believe I did this to you, without you I am nothing, I am now numb."
“I’ll always love you, Sincerely, Megan”
Megan finishes her cup of tea. She hears something from upstairs and looks down to the ground. She stands and places the empty cup in the sink. She heads back upstairs and enters the room.
FADE IN
INT. BEDROOM. LATE MORNING
As she enters the room and notices the closet light turned on. She gives a puzzling look and yells for Jack. There is no response so she dismisses it and proceeds to seat in front of the vanity set. She begins to apply her daily makeup. She is facing the mirror as we see a gun come to the side of her head and we hear the gun shot.
FADE OUT
EXT. HOME. LATE MORNING
We are at the front of the house. We hear nothing as we inch our way back up toward the bedroom window.
FADE IN
INT. BEDROOM. NOON
We see a blood stream that leads us up to Megan’s dead body. The suicide letter that Jack wrote has been placed in her hand and the gun placed in her other hand. We make our way past the scene on the ground and into the bathroom where we see Jack cleaning his hands off in the sink as he stares at himself in the mirror with an evil yet arrogant smirk on his face. He is absolutely crazed at this point and is finally relieved.
