"Short Film Scores" by Herman Witkam

I always write while listening to music. Today, I am listening to Herman Witkam's "Short Film Scores".

It is amazing! 15 different tracks from some of Herman's short film work. What is especially cool is that most of these tracks started as scores for DVXuser films.

They are truly inspirational. If you haven't picked this up already, I highly recommend it.

Chris, your Amazon link is bad. But am excited that two of my films made the cut! It's good stuff people, check it!

Amazon link fixed.

I love the scores from your films. I really do love them all. The diversity is amazing.

The last score is from a film of mine.

Yeah, I was always blown away by the breadth of his work.

Also, one not on the CD, but which I still think is fantastic, is from the film Timur and I did back in 2006:

The Rekindled score is fantastic.

Apparently JDS had originally planned to sing it but was having throat issues nearing the deadline, so he got his opera singing friend to do it. I got to hear the version with Jack singing, and it was also very good.

He should release the score he did for my feature film. (Shameless plug, I know, but I always thought people on the board would want to at least watch it to hear his score and sound design.) Herman is an awesome musician/person. Most of the time spent on our skype spotting sessions was spent talking about movies and music. He's a cool guy, and if anyone else here gets the opportunity to work with him, they should take it without question.
