Hey,
I was going to make a short 11 minute film with the basic premise of a student graduating from College trying to going to explore the wildnerness as it was 100's of years ago.. He ends up getting lost and battling against the elements. He ends up dying (death by nature is the theme).
I was wondering if anyone had any good ideas about the look of the film??.. shots etc... considering its shot outside primarily (1 person only in it).. Great landscape cimpletely isolated (decent outdoor light) mountains and rough.
Now I want to eventually shoot this on a something decent with a high budget, but I want to first film this short on my Canon Elura 80 (widescreen mode.. It doesnt letterbox). The film quality is surprisingly good, but not good in dim light (hense outdoor shot).
The camera's mic is ok, would you recommend an external mic to this? (if so any suggestions that aren't too expensive) But the great part about this is that it doesnt need to capture speach really... since ther actor will be alone.
Anything advice? Even post editing stuff?
Thanks
