Short dialogue piece from my new project

David W. Richardson

Chapelgrove Films
This is from Solemn...

(Not in screenplay format.)

Elder: "Are you in love, my friend?"

Merchant: "Indeed. With a fine woman!"

Elder: "Have you loved before?"

Merchant (nods): "A time or two."

The Elder leans close, fixing his eyes upon the Merchant in great earnestness.

Elder: "Then I tell you this one truth.....you have never been in love at all. For if you had found the true love that this Scribe has found, then you would know in that same moment that you have never truly loved before, nor would you ever love any other."

The Merchant is perplexed.

Elder: "Imagine that all your life you have eaten butter and thought it was honey.....and then you tasted honey."
