Short Crane/Jib Suggestions!

I have a Kessler 12' crane. Very nice. But I'm looking for something smaller for
situations that don't need something that big but gives the camera motion.

I know Kessler makes a 5' crane but I wanted to check to see what you guys
are using or have some suggestions on where to look.

Thanks.

Hey Mark,

The 12' crane can be set up as an 8' crane, just leave out the middle section, right? And I think you could get another piece of hardware (Short Tip, about $100) from Kessler to turn your 12' into a 5' crane as well, if I recall correctly.

Russell

Jason, thanks for the link. Nice crane.

Russell, I 'm hip to shortening the 12' to 8'. But didn't know about the short tip. I'll check into that.

Thanks guys.

get a kessler. we just go ours and love it. so much control versus the vance. you can go 5.5,8,12 all by changing out the tip/extender.

I had the opportunity to try an Advantajib at NAB and found it easy to use and very smooth. Took me all of five minutes to get the hang of it.

One of the biggest features is the ability to tilt AND pan independently of the rest of the jib. Some jibs don't allow that without an additional gimbal. The Advantajib has that feature part of the design.
