anyone got some links for shops in that area?

There are a lot of "Ottikas/Opticas" that sell cameras and such in Rome off of VIA DEL CORSO. I was there a little over a year ago but didn't see any DV cameras at all, I wasn't particularly looking either. These places sell still photography gear and sell eyeglasses too. If I were in Rome looking for this stuff, I would start there and ask the employees of those stores.
