And my wife wonders why I don't get excited about these shoots?
Ok, I just finished my first shoot with the DVX100b. HARSH stage light, Black Backdrop, with the talent in a black leotard. HORRIBLE MIXES!
I'm sure you know what happens. I bumped the Iris down as far as I could go with out losing the blacks, but the talent still came out looking almost ghosting.
I have 3 more of these shoots to do in the same theater and another 3 hour, live 4 day shoot under multicolor, multi levels of stage lighting. I'm shooting from the far back of the room zoomed all the way in. I have NO CHOICE.
So. Any advice???? What is the best way to shoot this crap?
