Shooting wedding in 30p good idea?

Never done one, got roped into doing it as favor. Furthermore, they got some other poor schmuck to "volunteer" to shoot stills, but want to pull stills off my stuff if possible. I've never used 30p setting, but since I want to use autofocus, and they want stills from my stuff, 30p seems best option. Thoughts, suggestions welcome. Thanks.

Sure, 30P will offer some great benefits in shooting a wedding. 30P will enable you to do very smooth, dramatic slow-mo often seen in wedding vids. Autofocus will work better. Low-light performance will be better. Doesn't look like video. Smoother pans. You can still use cinegamma. I say go for it, 30P will not disappoint.

i recently shot a wedding on 30p for the first time (actually its my 1st wedding altogether). done outside with great natural lighting but i did have some issues with autofocus in shots that had different layers of action. it sometimes confuses the focusing system. if i had to do it again, i'd trust myself and do manual focus. as far as image quality, GO FOR IT!!!!
