Starting from scratch.. I am shooting INT. Night, moonlight coming in through one window (arri 1.2k hmi).. 2x4' Kino's overhead (backlighting subjects). Arri 575 hmi/key light, and 4x4' kino as fill..
I'm a film guy.. I know my limits, and like to use a meter.. But is it true if I throw up some color bars on my SONY 13" monitor, get them to look good, that I can start shooting what looks good on that monitor without having to meter everything? I don't have a waveform monitor, and don't have anymore time to play.. I'm shooting next week, and am working up until the shoot day..
WYSIWYG?
Thanks!
