Shooting under fluorecent light

My friends I have a shoot in a warehouse that is lit with fluorecent lights. this is a coorporate video by the way and it would be distribute on CD'S and DVD'S. I am basically shooting a robot machine operating some merchandise in stock and people working, any suggestions, I have a spotlight on the camera, would that be a good match with the fluorecent light or a small light kit would be advisable.

truth is, that it might be a good thing, fluorecent lights blink really fast and create a certain look(not a bad one in some cases) a mood , a certain feeling.

Try to tape a few samples with no special lighting(camera is good enough) and remember more nifty brigt lights you add also add glare flare and more room for mistakes and shadows, also mixing frequency(light frequency) is annoying in video.

It is never good to mix different type of light if you can use one type use it well and dont add another type, (it sounds weird and i thought it was stupid also but just think about how light works, it is artificially projected at different frequencies our eyes cannot see)

It's always nice to bring something with you to break the flat dullness of overhead flourescents. Since mixing ligh sources always add some tweaking, and a little challenge. I'd recomend renting a bank or two of flourescent fixtures such as Kinoflo. Adding sources that are more lateral and directional and more contrast in your images might win over the flatness of only using the overhead sources, wich would still be used for fill and ambient lighting.
