How do you come up with your schedule and figure out how many days you need to shoot?

I pretty much follow the procedures outlined in Ralph S. Singleton's book, "Film Scheduling: Or, How Long Will It Take to Shoot Your Movie?". Start with a script breakdown, do breakdown sheets for each scene then organize the breakdown sheets into a day of days schedule that is the most efficient way to shoot the film.
