I'm sure you are not going alone but probably with some people who have been before - they can probably recommend kit that is up to the job maybe from a mountain equipment dealer
 
Can I ask where you are going? In the arctic circle is quite a large area, and where you are headed will determine what you need to bring. How are you getting there? Snow machine, skiing, dog sled, hiking? Not all areas will have snow on the ground in September.

are you looking for? September most likely will
not have snow yet. You will still have a decent
amount of sun ☀️ light in a day if you have solar chargers for
batteries. Unless it decides to rain. Which brings up
protecting your gear. When moving around from
place to place, you may need to worry about water or
mud. Also keeping your kit compact, for fitting into a
small plane or on a 4 wheeler possibly. Any other questions
just ask.
