shooting in club w/candles everywhere

can some1 explain the effects when shooting
in a club with low light and candle light everywhere, and
how to handle the those effects in camera.

What are you shooting? Will you be able to set up in one spot, or will you have to move around a lot?

I'd use some lower wattage lights to bump the ambient level a little without disrupting the intimate candle-lit feel. I think you'll find that the candles themselves won't provide enough light. What's the subject matter?
