Shooting in 12 hours, please help menu button won't work.

a friend of mine is using a hired firestore and HVX200 tomorrow morning, he just called and he tells me that he can't get into the menu when the HVX is in P2, CAMERA mode. It just won't work? Menu comes up fine in mini DV mode.

Odd eh?

Is it faulty or are we missing something? Any help much appreciated. cheers.

If he's powering the cam with a good batter, waiting for the startup to finish (approx. 5 seconds), and then pressing and releasing the "menu" button on top of the cam, and it does not enter the menu, then there is a problem. make sure he has not somehow disabled the menu display and that he is looking at the actual LCD or viewfinder, not a off cam display.
