Shooting for 16:9 DVD....

If I shoot a wedding (DVC30) and want the finished DVD is display perfectly on a 16:9 TV.... how should i shoot the video...

Should I shoot it in Squeeze mode or normal 4:3 and crop later (is it easy?)... Thanks
 
I would shoot 4:3 and crop, my friends who own native 4:3 camera say, "If Im gonna loose resolution I want to pick what Im loosing" a matte box in FCP gives you the option to move up and down the image with the matte so you can frame your shot perfectly.
 
If I crop later in FCP... can I easily export the video in 16:9 not letterbox to view correctly on a widescreen TV?
